One of the organizations Stan’s has been privileged to work with over the last few years with our Share-A-Pair drive is Sojourner Family Peace Center. They are an amazing organization and we are so very happy we are able to contribute to their success.
Sojourner Family Peace Center is Wisconsin’s largest provider of domestic violence prevention and intervention services. They provide a wide variety of support aimed at helping families affected by domestic violence achieve safety, justice, and well-being.
You can make a difference using your time and talent. Volunteers can significantly expand the reach to the clients they serve. Whether you have a few hours to spare or would like to start helping out on a regular basis, there are many volunteer opportunities for groups and individuals with varying time commitments.
Sojourner and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin formed a unique partnership to create one of the first co-located child advocacy and family violence centers in the country. It’s one of the first in the country to provide comprehensive services for victims and families impacted by domestic violence. In addition to Sojourner programming the Family Peace Center provides access to a number of partner organizations including Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Police Department Sensitive Crimes Unit, Milwaukee Public Schools, the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office, Aurora Healthcare Abuse Response Services, and others. With The help of these partnerships. Sojourner aims to transform our community and make Milwaukee a healthier, safer, and more peaceful place to live.
