November is both an exciting month with our Stan-iversary sale and a month of memory because we recognize Pancreatic Cancer Awareness month. This specific type of cancer is held very dear to our hearts here at Stan’s as we remember a family member that lost the battle with Pancreatic Cancer in 2014.

Each customer has the opportunity to round their purchase up to the nearest dollar during the entire month of November at Stan’s. At the end of the month, we donate to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network on behalf of our retail family.

What is Pancreatic Cancer?

Cancer starts when abnormal cells in the body continue to grow into a tumor. The pancreas is an organ located between the stomach and the spine. It’s responsible for creating insulin that helps the body regulate sugar.

How Many People Does It Affect Each Year?

In the US, nearly 150 people are diagnosed every day.

Is There A Way To Detect it?

There is no standard early detection test available for pancreatic cancer so creating and maintaining a relationship with your healthcare provider is crucial in detecting any medical condition.

If you, or anyone you know has been affected by cancer, our condolences and support go out to you. We encourage you to continue to live positively and support organizations that bring awareness to the conditions you’re passionate about.
