Behind the Scenes: Fall into Style!

Why do we love autumn at Stan’s? There are more reasons than we can count – football season, gorgeous, multi-colored leaves and, of course, fun new fashion and footwear! The crisp fall air calls for delightful boots and shoes, snug scarves and oversized sweaters. How could we not be excited?!

This year, we are even more enthusiastic than usual after shooting our Fall 2014 Catalog locally at Schlitz Audubon Nature Center in Bayside, just north of Milwaukee. Resting on the shores of Lake Michigan, this pristine location is home to nature trails, picturesque ponds, a lookout tower and endless wildlife.

Besides being an extraordinary setting in its own right, the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center was the perfect place to shoot our fall catalog. Our new fall footwear has an earthy and ageless quality that is comfortable, fun, fashion-forward and classic all at once!

Take the Pikolinos Le Mans. This boot is a funky lace-up that stretches past the ankle. While its fresh look would not be out of place in a cool new restaurant or night downtown, its wood-style heel and rich, red leather finish have a timeless, organic appeal.

Another favorite this season is the Florsheim Rockit Plain Oxford. Founded in Milwaukee, Florsheim creates wonderful dress footwear for men.  With leather soles to rubber soles, Florsheim provides great comfort and style.  The Rockit Plain Oxford is prefect for work or a stroll through the Third Ward.

As a proud locally-owned and operated company, we are also thrilled to work with an organization that embodies the same community values we honor. The Schlitz Audubon Nature Center is a wonderful example of all the beauty Wisconsin has to offer. And it is right in Milwaukee’s backyard!
